Bill Gates visited Turkey in 2021, including Göcek, to celebrate his 66th birthday and vacation with Jeff Bezos. He chartered a luxury yacht, Lana, for the trip and even hosted a birthday party for about four hours at Sea Me Beach in Fethiye. Guests were transported to the beach by helicopter.
